If you have not seen the Career and Technical Training Center, it is worth a phone call to arrange a tour. And after you learn about the training that is offered, call every unemployed person you know and suggest that they go sign up. There are jobs at automotive plants in this area just begging to be filled. And these are jobs with good pay that can provide a family with a decent living. Macon County school administrators have made it easy for anyone to get training for automotive industry work. Through a consortium of organizations, $2 million was secured to pay for some pretty sophisticated equipment. We now have a bus that operates as a mobile classroom that can come to your neighborhood to spare you from transportation challenges.
