Executive lease property available to T-100 executives

BUSINESS MATTERS

Karin Hopkins

A local businessman has taken a big step in his personal bid to welcome T-100 executives to this community. Carl Young purchased a house in 2017 and prepared it for executive leasing. The work was completed in 2018 and Young is proud of what has been accomplished, saying, “We completely gutted this house and renovated it from top to bottom.’ Young and his partner, Deborah Baldwin, own a construction company named Dad’s Enterprises, Inc. that is headquartered in Tuskegee. They know what it takes to transform property from crappy to happy. Talking about the specific improvements to this house, he says,  “We put a new roof on that has lightning protection. When you come inside, all the appliances are new, so are the cabinets, flooring and bathrooms. You basically have a new house for an executive to call their home while they are doing business in this community.” The house has a living room, dining room and a kitchen with a small breakfast nook. There are four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a laundry room and a camera security system. Leasing rates will be set after consultation with a realtor who is familiar with executive rentals. Young says tenants will write one check each month that will cover rent and other essential services. “Whoever stays here will not have to worry about utilities because that will be included in the monthly rent.”  Sitting on 4-acres of land, the house is in an idyllic setting, which the owners hope will be a selling point to Leonardo DRS T-100 executives. “ It’s very quiet, only two houses on the street and we may even put up a privacy fence.”  Carl Young is hoping that word about his lease property gets to Leonardo DRS executives. But he is not just relying on hope to make a connection. He has some marketing ideas that he plans to put into action as a strategic approach to his BUSINESS MATTERS.
