Eggs & Issues are on the menu as the Tuskegee Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) presents Dr. Charlotte Morris as guest speaker at the first TACC breakfast forum of 2018. The event will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 beginning at 7:30am at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. Loretta Alexander, President of the Chamber, shares her thoughts on the importance of this event. “Eggs and Issues has been a particularly good source of information and networking for Chamber members and the community at large. The current Chamber leadership believes we are serving a need by reviving Eggs and Issues and we are pleased to have Dr. Morris as guest speaker.” Appointed interim President of Tuskegee University in 2017, Dr. Morris has held this position once before in 2010, following the retirement of Dr. Benjamin Payton. Dr. Morris has been affiliated with Tuskegee University for more than 30 years. A native of Kosciusko, Mississippi, Dr. Morris completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education at Jackson State University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management at Delta State University. She received a Ph.D. degree in Education and Business Management from Kansas State University. She has completed additional coursework at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education’s Institute for Educational Management and also has completed other educational programs at higher learning institutions. At the Eggs & Issues breakfast, she will speak on the topic, “Freedom Requires Action.” Tickets are $20 per person and are available at Loretta’s University Cleaners on West Montgomery Road in Tuskegee. Eggs and Issues was coordinated by the Chamber’s Special Projects Committee, which is one of the standing Chamber committees that develop and implement programs, ultimately to benefit the community.
